Space-grade Superfine Wire Produced for NASA Using Lubricool™ 318A

OVERVIEW

Sarkuysan Elektrolitik Bakir Sanayi Ve Ticaret A.Ş is an internationally renowned producer of a variety of copper products from rod and tube to superfine wire.

The superfine wire produced by Sarkuysan’s factory in Gebze, Turkey is approved by NASA and used in a number of their projects. Sarkuysan manufacture their superfine wire from plain and tinned copper down to 0.05mm using Lubricool™ 318A.

OUTCOME

LUBRICOOL™ 318A is used at 3% concentration for drawing and 1.5% concentration in the annealer. The emulsion tank is 10,000L and feeds 24 machines. The systems use paper filtration and a six-month life is achieved from the emulsion.
