17 Dec Spreading Christmas Cheer: Metalube’s Charitable Contributions This Festive Season
This Christmas season, Metalube has once again demonstrated our commitment to offering support to the local community by partnering with several charities to spread joy and help those in need.
While Metalube operates as a global business with operations taking place across the world, we believe in remembering our history and supporting the local communities that have made our global export possible.
Metalube has proudly operated from our headquarters in Irlam, Manchester, UK for over 26 years and as such it’s important to remember the community that have supported us throughout Metalube’s life.
Through generous donations, heartfelt contributions, and active participation, the team at Metalube brought the spirit of giving to the local community.
Here’s a recap of the heartwarming initiatives Metalube proudly undertook this holiday season.
Partnering with The Toy House to Brighten Young Lives
Metalube teamed up with The Toy House, an Urmston-based, charity dedicated to supporting children and families in need throughout Manchester. The Toy House, active since 1981, has been a beacon of hope for countless families, and its inspiring work resonated deeply with the Metalube team.
To support their efforts, Metalube’s generous employees came together to deliver a care package filled with toys, gifts, and essential items. These contributions were presented to The Toy House representatives during a visit to Metalube’s main office in Irlam, Manchester.
“During the happiest time of the year for many, it’s important to spare some consideration for those in our community in need this Christmas,” a spokesperson from Metalube shared.
The team wishes The Toy House continued success in its mission and hopes the donations will bring smiles to children’s faces this festive season.
Supporting Victims of Domestic Abuse with Salford Women’s Aid
In another heartfelt initiative, Metalube partnered with Salford Women’s Aid (SWA) to provide support to victims of domestic abuse in the local area. Domestic abuse affects an estimated one in four women in the UK during their lifetime, making the work of SWA critical for many families.
Representatives Jo and Suzanne from SWA visited Metalube’s office last week to receive a collection of toys, presents, and supplies contributed by the Metalube team. These donations aim to bring a glimmer of joy to women and children seeking refuge through SWA this Christmas.
The Metalube team expressed their gratitude to SWA for its invaluable efforts and emphasized the importance of supporting such vital organizations.
“We hope our modest contributions make a difference to the families in need and help bring some joy during the holiday season,” they shared.
Dancing with Dementia: Bringing Joy Through Music and Gifts
Continuing their charitable streak, Metalube welcomed representatives from Dancing with Dementia, a King’s Award-winning charity. This organization provides support for people affected by dementia and memory loss through music, dance, and social engagement.
Lesley Fisher and Jeanette Cutt from Dancing with Dementia visited Metalube’s office to accept gifts and presents, which will be distributed to individuals and homes under the charity’s care. Dementia affects nearly 944,000 people in the UK, impacting not only those diagnosed but also their loved ones. Dancing with Dementia’s activities and support sessions create stimulating and joyful experiences for those affected by this condition.
The Metalube team was thrilled to contribute and expressed their admiration for the charity’s incredible work in and around the Irlam area.
“We hope our gifts bring some Christmas cheer to the people they support,” said a Metalube representative, thanking Dancing with Dementia for their impactful efforts and for the sweet gesture of bringing chocolates for the team.
